The soundtrack of the film was composed by Johnson, lyrics written by Vairamuthu and the background score was composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The soundtrack album was released on 13 August 2018.
Release
The satellite rights of the film were secured by STAR Vijay. It was released on 8 August 2018, with Jio Cinema releasing the film.
Critical reception
The Times of India rated the film 3.5 stars and wrote, "After a while, the creative make-up of the plot starts taking effect on you and you realise that it's not about who was right and who was wrong. The theme of forgiveness and acceptance of the others (including the antagonist) in spite of who they are is the heart of the movie." Deccan Chronicle wrote, "When everything seems to be going wrong in your life, this movie provides the soul-warming dose of assurance that love, life and friendship always triumph over all kinds of challenges."
The Indian Express wrote, "When almost everything goes wrong for the protagonist, who gets the last laugh with a positive message of forgiveness and communal harmony as a result". The New Indian Express wrote, "With a little help from our protagonist, a message of universal acceptance is delivered."
